![]() Why Do We Notice When Addicts Have Multiple Addictions?Because They Often Lash Out! Coping with addiction presents significant challenges for anyone; dealing with multiple addictions presents often seemingly insurmountable problems for the addicted, their families and everyone around them. The factors that make people susceptible to one addiction, unfortunately, open them to other addictions as well, and one of the maladies that those suffering from multiple addictions manifest is anger or rage addiction. Along with treatment to mitigate other addictions, anger addiction rehab is often necessary to help addicts change their lives. Anger Addiction as A Coping Mechanism For Feelings of Inadequacy The anger addiction cycle often starts with feelings of helplessness or bad feeling because the addict's needs are not being met, making him feel abused or neglected. Efforts to repair what's wrong don't work causing anxiety and emotional pain, which leads to anger that builds until the addict feels his life spinning out of control. This can lead to an explosion of angry emotion that provides temporary relief of the stress, but unless the underlying causes are addressed, anger recurs. Anger Addiction is Often Manifested in Those With Multiple Addictions Anger addiction imposes as much of a burden on the addict's loved ones as the addict herself. The feelings of guilt that come from the pain an addict inflicts on those around her, can exacerbate the problem, which sometimes result in the addict shifting blame on her victims. Unfortunately, this does nothing to solve the problem; in fact, it only worsens it. Anger addiction rehab can help those with multiple addictions regain control of their lives and have a normal existence. In addition to the treatments to deal with other addictions, breaking the cycle of anger addiction can be done in the following ways:
Manage Anger, Don't Let it Manage You Anger addiction is often overlooked in multiple addicts because it's not seen as the principle addiction. It is also often left untreated. For long-term good health, mental, emotional and physical, anger addiction rehab should be an integral part of any addiction mitigation program.
